About

Brewpub + distillery opened April 23, 2022 by Anglo Japanese Brewing Company inside the restored Yokohama Silk Inspection Office warehouse at KITANAKA BRICK&WHITE South, seventy meters from Bashamichi Station. AJB was founded 2014 in Nozawa Onsen by British brewer Thomas Libushy—Libushi (里武士) reads 'village warrior' phonetically. The Bashamichi site combines onsite beer brewing, a spirits distillery, and Japan's first 5,000L oak foeder for wild-yeast long-aged beer, backing the country's deepest archive of wood-barrel craft. Fifteen taps mix Bashamichi originals (red menu) with Nozawa pours (blue menu), plus in-house RTDs and cocktails. Upcycle ethos runs through: bread-crust Bread beer, broken-rice spirits, off-spec fruit botanicals. Half pints ¥500 on weekday happy hour until 18:00. Non-smoking, walk-in only, closed Mon–Tue.
