And Beer is a Koenji apartment-block taproom run by the Ando夫妻: Yuriko handles brewing, Koji runs the kitchen with curry shaped by years of Asia travel. They opened in 2017, first brewing inside, then moved production across the street in 2019 to free up seats. The taps don’t cling to a ‘core’ list—expect seasonal one-offs, single-hop runs, and occasional high-ABV experiments alongside guest pours. In 2021 they added a Katsunuma, Yamanashi base to chase barrel-aged beers using wine-country hardware. Come early for a patio table; start with a flight, then order the multi-curry set or weekend biryani. It’s still locals first, tourists second.
