HICRA. is the second act from KUHNS BAR’s owner, Junichi Chiba, built around a simple obsession: changing the soda changes the highball. The menu leans into the math—five carbonations, 60+ whiskies, and ten rotating craft taps—so you can drink by comparison instead of habit. The room is small and functional, with the tap wall doing most of the décor. It was a former fish shop, and the old refrigeration infrastructure became part of the operation, even for keg storage. Food is bar-forward but not an afterthought: coleslaw, garlic shrimp, and a few heavier plates if you’re staying. Come with a short list, keep it tight, and don’t treat it like a pub crawl checkpoint.
