About

Opened in 2009 on Azabu-Juban’s main drag, this is a straight UK-style local sitting in Tokyo’s expat corridor. The owner keeps five-plus drafts running—Guinness anchored, plus rotating guest lines spanning Japanese craft and imports—and backs it with a deep bottle list. ‘Tippler’ is old slang for a drinker; the “Arms” is the pub wink. Concrete walls, stickers, and 70s–80s rock keep it informal, and regulars treat it like a neighborhood living room. The front chalkboard lists today’s guests; if you see something, don’t stall—kegs turn over. Seats are limited, so solo drinkers should take the counter. Order fish and chips if you need ballast.
