Castle Rock is a 2F, 18-seat meat shop that slipped into Shinjuku in 2014 after relocating from Ichikawa. It’s immediately by Shinjuku-sanchome Exit C5, but you still have to climb the stairs. The menu is US-leaning: burgers, US prime steak, and St. Louis–style ribs, with craft beer and imported cans (Guinness turns up). It’s not a tap-hunter’s playground; it’s a place to eat like you mean it, then drink what matches. Order at lunch if you want the room quiet; dinner compresses fast and reservations matter. Cards are fine, but no e-money or QR payments. Ask for the English menu, and don’t skip the smoke/BBQ items. All seats are non-smoking.
