American diner spinoff of veteran Belgian beer specialist Smakelijk (opened 2010 in Musashi-Koyama, 140+ Belgian bottles). This second venue opened February 25, 2019 on Yamate-dōri near the Kamuro-zaka intersection, four minutes from Fudomae and roughly 12 from Meguro on the ground floor of the MID POINT Meguro Fudomae shared-office building. Manager Masato Kanezashi wanted somewhere to feed regulars properly. Name puns "chops" (bone-in meat) with the brewer's "hop." 10 craft taps run rotation-style — Heretic, BrewDog, the unusual stuff — plus the Belgian-bar pedigree shows in the bottle list. Kitchen built around an applewood smoker: house-smoked BBQ, beef jerky, ribs, burgers, tacos, pasta. 37 seats split 25 table / 10 counter, 20–50 person buyout possible. Closed Tuesdays. Open till 2am Fridays.
