Akatsuki opened its Kyodo lab in 2016 as Setagaya’s first local brewery, then spun up the Hachimantai factory while keeping this spot as a weekend tasting room. The space reads like a clean Japanese house rather than a bar—shoji light, a few tables, and a brewer behind the counter. They lean organic and seasonal: Dragon Eye series, fruit wheat, spice ales, whatever is running small-batch. Service is often ‘free-flow’ style: your start time gets written on a plastic cup, then you bring it back for refills. Don’t come hungry; treat it like a brewery visit, not dinner.
