Tokyo's oldest surviving craft brewery-restaurant, opened April 1997 in a renovated 50-year-old warehouse on the Tennozu canal. Founded by Yasunobu Terada of the Terada Warehouse family—his father Yasunosuke had bought the burnt-out factory shell post-war to launch the family warehouses in 1951—as the only 23-ward brewery of the microbrew boom to start without major-brewer backing, modeled on West Coast brewery restaurants. Son Shimpei Terada rescued it from near-closure and now runs parent Tysons & Company (Cicada, Ivy Place, The Roastery by Nozy Coffee). Eight original unfiltered unpasteurized taps by brewmaster Abe plus Pilot Brewery specials. Over 350 seats across dining room, craft beer bar, terrace, and Tokyo's only floating lounge. Reopened April 2026 after full renovation.
