Opened October 5, 2017 as Komae's tap room and bottle shop arm of Izumi Brewery, the brewing operation behind the glass door at the back. Pink-painted building eight minutes from either Kitami or Komae north exit. Owner-brewer Izumi Shunsuke still keeps his salaryman day job (with the employer's blessing) and brews on weekends. He studied via the American Brewers Guild distance program, then did on-site training at Portland's Commons Brewery in late 2015. Brewing license came in March 2018; flagship 3A Farmhouse Ale launched April 25, 2018, a saison built on a recipe Commons let him take home. Beer names are baseball references (3A means Triple-A, aiming for the majors); other regulars include Sunny Day Game, Slam Dong, Free Ticket, Set Upper. Twelve taps split between house and Oregon imports brought in by Sapporo's Farmers Co., who installed the Portland Kettle Works tanks here on a rental basis. Beer Cellar Sapporo is the sister shop. Standing only inside, bottles and growler fills to go, food BYO. Closed Mondays.
