Opened in 2017 as Koto Ward's first brewery, GAHAHA BEER is owner Baba's answer to the usual split between beer bar and izakaya. He spent years cooking in Koenji izakaya, learned small-footprint brewing at Bakushu Kobo, and built this shop inside the Minami-Suna housing complex so the beer could live with dinner, not beside it. The room is part counter, part tables, with terrace spill into the arcade and a regular mix of locals, office workers, and serious drinkers who know not to overtalk the hops. Start with Danchi Ale or Baba's Blonde, then eat sashimi or the beer-braised brisket. This place rewards appetite, not ticker behavior.
