West Coast Brewing’s first Tokyo foothold sits on Shin-Marunouchi Building’s B1 passageway, half record lounge, half six-tap counter. Founder Derrek’s personal stash—about 2,000 vinyl, from house/techno beginnings to jazz-bar comfort—runs the room, sleeves on the walls and needles doing the work. You’re drinking in a polished business-district basement, but the soundtrack keeps it from going sterile. The crowd is Marunouchi office workers: quick pours, no lingering theatrics. Expect WCB flagships with a couple rotating taps, plus a cold case of cans and bottles to carry out. Food is secondary at best. It’s fully cashless—bring a card. Stand at the rail, not the doorway, and keep the corridor clear.
