LODI runs on a split personality: coffee by day, taps and bottles by night, 20 seconds from Nakano-sakaue’s A1 exit. It’s a nine-seat counter with a standing strip, non-smoking, and cash-first—don’t show up expecting tap-to-pay. Open since 2011, the owner keeps the list tight: about six beers (Japan plus a few imports), a small American wine rack, and a deep lineup of Kumamoto shochu. Beer comes in proper glass; ask for a smaller pour if you’re working through the taps. Order at the counter, keep the chat brief, then let the playlist do the work; occasional in-house live sets can push the room louder. Takeout is a thing. Snacks, not dinner.
