Honeycomb & Hopworks is a nano-brewery/taproom built into a 70‑year-plus renovated house in Kamiochiai—eight counter seats, two standing if you insist. Head brewer Yuto Kinoshita (ex T.Y. Harbor Brewery) went deep on honey beer and opened one of Japan’s first outfits devoted to the style. Don’t expect sugary “honey” gimmicks: fermentation strips the sweetness, leaving aroma and a clean finish. There’s a ¥500 charge and a small menu that actually uses the beer—braised pork, pickles, seasonal bits. They pour their own taps alongside guest kegs, and the house pours skew floral when the honey changes. Non-smoking, cards and QR payments are fine.
