Opened in 2012 by Shinya Kawai and his then-boss after a stint at the HUB pub chain, The World End is Ueno’s unapologetic Irish-pub room: stickers, coasters, flags, and a chalkboard that keeps moving. There are 11 taps—Guinness, Pilsner Urquell and rotating guest craft—plus bottles, and a serious whisky shelf. The guest lines turn over fast (often every few days), so regulars actually check the board instead of ordering on autopilot. Expect sports on screen, power outlets and Wi‑Fi, and a mix of locals and expats who treat this as their station-side living room. Non-smoking, English menu on hand, and no table charge—just pay for what you pour.
