Operated by Sekiya, a Kunitachi sake shop since 1910, this was the century-old retailer's first restaurant—the vision of late founder Kiichi Sekiya, who wanted a brewery pouring directly into an attached restaurant. White-walled Japanese-modern compound with a fire-watchtower landmark and a Kyoto-transplanted cherry tree in the garden. Kunitachi Brewery (くにぶる) next door works under an 'Old is New' philosophy, specializing in Nordic-style raw ale (unboiled wort) and yeast-forward fermentation. Ten-plus rotating taps, four-pour flight, kitchen built around Akita kan-koji, Uwajima Date-maguro, and local Kunitachi vegetables. Closed Wednesdays. Fifteen minutes on foot from Kunitachi Station—take the Tachikawa bus instead.
