Shimokitazawa burger shop opened October 2019, four minutes north of the station along the Ichiban-gai shopping street. Owner Takuma Nitta runs design firm USTUS and plant-art brand Urban Green Makers—BURGERS TOKYO is his sustainability play: every burger sold funds one school meal in Nairobi via NGO Hunger Zero. Two-story full-glass building with neon, concrete, reclaimed industrial furniture; second floor hung with Tokyo cityscapes by photographer Naohiro Yako. Signature is the 'super nikkan' patty—steak-like coarse grind, no binder, seasoned only with salt and pepper. Three house sauces on every table (original mayo, basil & cheese, truffle BBQ). Plant-based NEXT burger in collab with Next Meats. Dog-friendly terrace, 50 seats.
