KAMACHO is Maria’s international corner in Oi Shinchi, more late-night annex than polished beer stop. She began with American labels from home, then let the fridge widen through the nationalities of past staff—Spain, Norway, the Philippines, and whatever else fit the orbit—so the selection reads like accumulated geography rather than trend chasing. Downstairs is the working zone: an L-shaped counter, a few standing spots, stickered surfaces, and English and Japanese crossing over each other. Upstairs softens into a small sofa room. The tacos make sense, the fries do their job, and ramen appears when the night drags on. Start with imported beer cold from the case, not a cocktail.
