Beer Kobo’s original shop, opened in 2010, still reads like a neighborhood workshop: timber panels, hand-built partitions, and tanks close enough that you smell the mash. The chain has expanded, but Koenji stays the reference point—fresh house beer, not trend-chasing imports. Manager Koba runs the floor while the brewer keeps styles approachable, often with seasonal fruit. Food is proper pub-bistro: beer-battered fish & chips, sausage, and chicken worked with their own beer. There’s a small raised tatami area (winter kotatsu appears) plus a terrace where dogs are allowed. It’s five minutes from Koenji Station, no cover, and you can pay by card/IC/QR.
