A glass-fronted yakitori counter two minutes from Izumi Tamagawa station, closer to a suburban living room than a night-out destination. Six or seven counter stools and a single two-top, so come early or come alone. Four craft taps rotate — Hitachino Nest, Ise Kadoya, Brooklyn, Spring Valley — backed by twenty-odd world bottles, while the kitchen works Kishu binchotan charcoal on skewered chicken. The move: today's draft, a half-pint if you're pacing, and whatever's off the grill. No otoshi, no cover, cards fine. Non-smoking, low volume, a room of neighborhood regulars. It reads local because it is.
