Opened Feb 2026 just off Hoppy-dori, sKEWERs plays the ‘reverse-import’ game: kushiyaki dressed with koji, miso, and other fermentation tricks, then paired with rotating Japanese craft beer. The room is modern—one big floral mural, an 8-seat counter, and a few tables—and it runs quieter than the street outside. Non-smoking, with Wi‑Fi if you need a pause. They keep four taps plus a fridge of cans you can also buy to-go, and there’s a short sake-and-Japanese-wine line for non-beer people. After 17:00 there’s a ¥550 per-person charge, so commit: salt-koji thigh, the chef’s six-skewer set, then the itachō’s house tsukune. Cards work; QR payments don’t.
