Japan's first collaborative brewery—ten Machida restaurant groups pooled capital in 2024 to build a working brewhouse inside the old Carillon Square arcade, fermentation tanks visible behind the bar. The beer is Kawasemi Brew, named after Machida's city bird (the kingfisher) via public vote with 1,200+ entries. Flagship JIYU is an amber ale with tropical hop character; manager-brewer Imafuku works locally grown Machida hops and barley. Seven on tap plus bottles, dry-hop sour, and a craft-gin cocktail list. Order the stout curry, take the terrace, stay for FC Machida Zelvia matches on the projector. ¥330 table charge after 4pm.
