An English-countryside-pub transplant a few streets off the Awajicho/Ogawamachi office grid: dark wood, 37 seats split between a six-stool counter and roomy tables, no smoke, no cover. The name earns both meanings of malt - eight rotating European taps (chase the house lager brewed only for this room) backed by a deep Belgian and German bottle list, then a whisky wall that runs Islay hard, Lagavulin through Ardbeg. Food is proper pub-bistro: steak, charcuterie, cheese, not an afterthought. Take the counter, work the taps with the bartender, close on a peated dram. Weekdays before the after-work rush; dead on Sundays and the third Monday.
