Riot Beer is Ebata Takato’s punk-leaning brewpub: after a decade in IT, he trained at Jujo Suiken Brewery, helped launch Eitai Brewing, then opened this Setagaya taproom in April 2018. He brews alongside Taichi Yamada, and the line-up keeps changing instead of repeating safe recipes. Beer names pull from playlists—‘Salvation’ (Rancid) and ‘Myth’ (Beach House, a debut from head brewer Nana)—while the Liverpool-chant mural telegraphs the soundtrack. Most days you’ll see ten in-house taps and a fridge for take-away bottles or growler fills. It’s seven seats, no charge, so treat it like someone’s kitchen: grab a stool fast or take your pint outside. Ask for a sip before you commit.
