Second-generation soba shop near Musashi-seki Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line in Nerima, reopened March 2018 after owner-son Junichi Koyama came back from years of backpacking and hard Nagano soba training to take over the parents' 36-year-old shop. Renovated by Sansui-sha around aged timber and counter seats, with the owner's travel photos lining plank walls—mellow music at lunch, jazz at night. Shinshu obsession runs through it: Yatsugatake buckwheat milled and hand-cut every morning, ten-plus Nagano sakes rotated weekly (the wife writes the descriptions by hand), and four craft beer taps—rare for a soba shop—shipped in from Shinshu breweries. Sixteen seats, cedar ball at the door, counter designed from day one for solo drinking.
