Beer Kise is a third-floor, counter-only spot in Shimotakaido’s shotengai that treats craft beer like a rotating bulletin board: five taps, swapped often, mostly Japanese breweries, starting around ¥800 a glass. It opened in January 2023 and runs like an owner-driven clubhouse—regulars trade tap intel and argue hop choices across fifteen stools. The stairs to 3F do the filtering; inside it’s warm bulbs, white walls, and a chalkboard lineup. There’s no cover and no otoshi, and you can carry food up from the street; the grab-and-go shops downstairs are your kitchen (there’s even a student discount). Pay by card or PayPay, keep your order tight, and don’t camp.
