Opened in 2015, 8taps plays the straight British-pub card in Jimbocho’s book district: a long bar, barrel tables, and screens sized for football nights. The draft list is small enough to read fast—around eight taps—backed by bottles, whisky, and basic cocktails. Come early if you want a stool; later it turns into standing-room spillover when a match is on. Food stays on-theme: fish & chips, shepherd’s pie, coronation chicken, sausages & mash. No service charge, cards and transit e-money work, English menus are printed, and the room is non-smoking with a dedicated smoking area. Wi‑Fi and power outlets keep it usable between meetings.
