THE DAY is a snowboarder phrase for the clear blue morning after a dump—owner Masato borrowed it and built this Asakusa bar around that simple payoff. He used to pull rickshaws here, then did his reps in kitchens before opening in 2019. The beer side is eight rotating taps (Japan plus West Coast imports), but the real anchor is sausage: a staff “sausage craftsman” who did a California hot-dog pilgrimage and now runs 10+ house styles, 5–6 daily. Hot dogs use custom buns from a nearby Asakusa bakery. Sit at the counter, accept the ¥330 charge, and leave with a takeout beer for Sumida Park.
