Open since 2011, FLAT BAR sits on the second floor a two‑minute walk from Sangenjaya Station, and it runs on one obsession: draft technique. The first order is Super Dry—cold glass, tight foam, no shortcuts—then you pivot to the guest taps and bottle imports (Hoegaarden shows up, and Japanese craft rotates in). The room is small (20 seats) with a short counter, plus a curtained sofa “attic” that regulars book for quieter talk. Go early if you want that back room; late arrivals end up on stools. There’s a ¥200 otoshi; cards and PayPay work. Food is proper bar fuel—soufflé omelet, fried chicken, pasta—so you don’t have to bail early.
