BEN'S SLOP SHOP opened in 2021 on Nakamichi-dori as the Kichijoji outpost of The Slop Shop near Toritsu-Daigaku. Staffer/partner Ozone (ex beer importer, New York childhood) runs it like a “liquid gem” dealer—L’Oncle Ben is the fictional shopkeeper on the walls. The fridges hold 100+ cans and bottles, filed by hop/yeast/malt, with a short draft list behind the register. You drink on-site after paying up front, or have a can cracked for corkage (¥200 under 500ml, ¥400 above). They’ll fill growlers for takeaway; BYO food, pets, and kombucha are part of the deal. The shelves double as a micro gallery for beer-adjacent art and merch, so the crowd leans local.
