YONA YONA BEER WORKS Kanda

The Kanda branch of YO-HO Brewing's official taproom chain — loud, high-ceilinged, and designed to move volume. YO-HO Brewing, born in Karuizawa in 1997, essentially kickstarted Japan's craft beer culture with Yona Yona Ale, an American-style pale ale at a time when the country only knew macro lager. Around 10 taps rotate through the full lineup — Tokyo Black Porter and Aooni IPA are the ones worth ordering — served in Spiegelau glassware if you go pint. Food is serious: 12 types of handmade sausages, roast chicken, ajiillo. No cover. Groups dominate on weekends; weekday evenings are easier.
