ANOTHER8 is the Meguro branch of Kyoto’s BEFORE9 project, run by the SAKAHACHI team who talk openly about returning to sake brewing. The space is a former garage in the alley between Gonnosuke-zaka and Gyonin-zaka: big white wall, rough stone outside, then benches, counter, and sofa zones that shift from quick standing pours to longer sessions. The program is literal—eight rotating craft taps plus eight sake bottles—and one line sometimes gets used for Tokyo Fujimaru draft wine. Ordering is cash-on-delivery at the entrance counter. No cover, non‑smoking, cards ok; IC/QR not. Vinyl plays in the background, and the crowd skews local after-work with a steady foreigner presence. Go early if you want the terrace.
