SCENT opened in 2016 on Meguro’s Gonnosuke-zaka as a two-floor public house that takes real ale seriously. They keep three hand‑pulled cask ales running most days, and they’re reportedly Japan’s only CAMRA-registered pub—meaning the focus is cellarmanship, not hype cans. Downstairs is the sociable zone: a short standing rail and quick pours for people killing 30 minutes before trains. Upstairs is where you eat—fish & chips, cottage pie, and other UK comfort plates built for pint pacing. Eight drafts plus a deep bottle list; no cover. Whisky and cocktails exist, but the order is cask first; an English menu is printed.
