A compact British public house off Hamamatsucho's north exit, done in red walls, black timber and black-clad staff — the kind of room that fills with after-work suits and fogs up by nine. Owner Katayama Tamotsu ran the jazz bar at the Prince Park Tower and took a Beefeater cocktail title before opening here in 2012, which is why the counter punches above a pub's weight: 70-odd whiskies, 36 cocktails, and a rare cask real ale next to Yona Yona and Punk IPA. Order the fish and chips in Guinness batter, take a counter stool, and let him build you a Manhattan. Smoking's permitted, there's a 600-yen charge, and it gets loud.
