Opened October 2023 by founder Kuwahara Hiromi — a Tokyo transplant who caught the ale religion in a British brewpub three decades ago and finally acted on it. The taproom is compact and bright: an L-shaped counter hugging 9 stools, one four-top table, and a standing rail, with the brewing tanks visible from your seat. Seven house taps rotate through approx. Pale Ale, IPA, Kölsch, Saison, Weizen, and Stout — all brewed downstairs. The flagship Kokon Saga-Mai Saison uses sustainably farmed Sagano rice from Arashiyama. Skip the indecision and order the 3-beer tasting set (¥2,100). Fully cashless. No cover. No tourist-trap markup.
