BOOMIN has been running near Ikebukuro’s north exit since 2003, a nine-seat counter that behaves like a pork-focused bistro with beer-bar habits. The red counter and open kitchen make it a one-track show: grilled pork, spice-rubbed spare ribs, and whatever pickles or cold plates are set for the night. Drinks skew craft (often Japanese bottles like Shiga Kogen/Hitachino) plus straightforward wine. There’s no cover, it’s non‑smoking, and they don’t take cards—cash or PayPay. If you’re bringing your own bottle, the corkage is ¥1,200. Expect locals on first-name terms with their preferred bottles here.
