A Kirin-run beer hall, not a craft pilgrimage: the draw here is the pour, not obscurity. Kirin City has run its two-stage "gochisou" pour since 1983, and the Kichijoji branch keeps the ritual, capping a Braumeister with a firm, meringue-dense head worth the theater. Sixty-eight seats, non-smoking, bright and loud in the after-work hours, so come early if you want the counter. Order the Braumeister first, then a draft Guinness if you're staying; the food (sausages, potato salad, thin pizza) is ballast, not the point. Cards fine, no cover, English site if you need it.
