Opened April 6, 2024 on the Izumi Tamagawa shotengai, two minutes from the station south exit. The station-front outpost of Kagoya Brewery, Komae City's first craft brewery (2017), itself a side project of Kagoya Akimoto Shoten, a fourth-generation Komae institution founded in 1902 as a literal bamboo basket maker (籠 = kago) that turned into one of Tokyo's most respected nationwide jizake specialists across the twentieth century. The mothership brewery and the Tasuku restaurant sit a twenty-minute walk away, so this counter is the easy stop-in. Four house taps rotate fast (Komae Ale, seasonal Momo White, Enmusubi small pour for ¥600). Wooden interior with washi-paper lighting, standing counter on the left, tables and a big screen in the back. Food is nuts only by design, the shotengai across the street provides everything else and BYO is encouraged. Outside open hours the space doubles as a workshop venue covering beer, Tama River nature, and beer-compost grown produce. Friday evenings and weekends only.
