About

Standing-only 18-spot craft beer and whiskey bar on a side street between Iidabashi Station and Tokyo Daijingu Shrine. Opened July 2015 by Australian couple Luke and Jules with whiskey-veteran manager Yusuke Koike — the name is literal: hops plus scotch. Eight rotating taps lean hard into US West Coast imports (Oregon, Washington, California) alongside roughly twenty whiskies. Walls are papered with spent beer labels like merit badges; rock and metal on the speakers; no cover charge, cash-on-delivery ordering, English menus and English-speaking staff. Hit it before 19:00 for the ¥200 happy-hour pint discount and the pulled-pork sliders — bestseller since day one.
