A Belgian beer specialist off Shinjuku Sanchome, trading on roughly 180 bottles plus seven taps that run from Vedett and Chimay White to a rotating guest pour. The room is large for the genre - 80 seats, 20 at the counter - and reads as a bright European cafe rather than a dark drinking den, so conversation holds at a civil hum. Skip the pilsner reflex: order a Trappist (Orval or Rochefort 8) alongside the wagyu stewed in Chimay, or the white-wine-steamed mussels if you're grazing. No cover charge, one drink and one plate minimum. Counter for solo research, tables for the group that booked ahead. Non-smoking room, English menu on hand.
