BIRRA e VINO MASUYO is a restarted neighborhood liquor shop—about 90 years on the street—reborn in 2021 as a beer-and-wine select shop run by siblings Etsuko and Ryota Tsukamoto. She’s a wine writer/teacher who actually visits producers; he’s the beer obsessive, stocking Japan plus Europe and the U.S. You drink “kakuuchi” style: buy a bottle or can, add the small pour fee (beer +¥150; wine bottle +¥1000), and take it at the counter or the back table. Snacks are minimal—salami, cheese, small plates—so don’t arrive expecting a full kitchen. Weekends sometimes get themed tastings and mini-lectures—stay for the learning or leave before it starts.
