Schmatz's Atre Ueno outpost sits inside the station complex — a German beer hall from the chain two German founders launched in Tokyo in 2015. Eighty seats, bright mall lighting, communal tables, and a room that runs loud once the group bookings land. The chain pours its own-label beer: order the Weizen or the hoppy IPA off the four-tap Schmatz lineup, then chase it with a sausage platter and a schnitzel. Non-smoking throughout, cards and IC accepted, English menus on hand. A 385-yen seat charge applies unless you're on a course. Go early evening before the after-work crowd swallows the tables.
