Opened March 14, 2019, Mugi no Oto is Kabukicho’s B1 “mixtrant”—part beer bar, part bistro, part music room. The house keeps five rotating craft taps and leans on bottle natural wine; Ne10, their Kabukicho-born craft gin, shows up on the drink side too. It’s built for groups (70 seats) but also solo counter drinkers, with an English menu and English-speaking staff. Expect a ¥500 service charge, and an ¥800 late-night fee. The kitchen goes French-leaning fusion—craft sausage, Shinshu salmon with lobster-bisque sauce—so eat properly. Ask if the reservation-only sushi counter “Heirasshai” is operating; it’s a separate universe behind the same door.
