This is the Shimokitazawa taproom for TDM 1874 Brewery, a brand spun out of Sakaguchiya, a Yokohama liquor shop founded in 1874. It opened here in 2022 and still behaves like a retailer: fridges of cans and bottles line the wall behind a tight 17-seat room (plus two outside counter spots), and the tap list is written like homework on chalkboard. They also push sake and Japanese wine, with a sommelier on the roster—rare in a taproom that serves burgers. TV sports nights happen, outlets and free Wi‑Fi keep daytime lingerers. If you crack bottles in-store, there’s a ¥550-per-bottle charge; drafts are the clean play.
