Pigalle Tokyo has been running since 2010 in a five-tsubo storefront off Sangenjaya. It’s the Yamada couple: Hide picks the beer (ex-baker/pastry background, long Europe-beer obsession), while Chie built the red-and-floral decor largely DIY. The selection leans Europe first—bitter, saison, lambic, cider—with a bottle-shop fridge for takeout. Pre-opening is ritual: windows cracked, air swapped, floor scrubbed, taps checked. With five seats and no reservations, you either squeeze in or hover by the door. Don’t ignore the “toilet music room”: a separate soundtrack, DJ mixes, and tiny exhibitions. Bottles drank in-house come with an opener fee; pay is modern—cards and PayPay included.
