Opened June 2017 as Toshima Ward's first brewery, Smoke Beer Factory built its identity around a niche nobody else was chasing: German-style rauchbier and in-house smoked food. Head brewer Namachan—the brand's namesake—runs the kitchen smoker on cherry wood and oak barrel chips, while roughly sixteen taps pour her smoked originals alongside guest craft from Japan and abroad. Expect Oktoberfest lagers, sake-lees hazy IPAs, and Malt Lovers IPA in rotation. Beers arrive with hand-painted canvas cards depicting each brew's mascot art. Counter on the ground floor, beer hall upstairs, terrace and balcony for smokers. Closed Mondays. The brand has since spun off into two more brewpubs and a shop, but this is the original.
