Okutama's VERTERE Brewery—Latin for 'to change, to turn,' with beers named after Linnaean scientific names to strip away style expectations—opened its first south-of-Tamagawa outpost in Noge on January 5, 2026. Fourth in the chain after the Okutama mountain brewpub, Eifuku, and Tachikawa. Roughly 10-tsubo, bare-concrete taproom on the 2F of Magazine Noge II, minimalist and compact, with 10 taps all pouring VERTERE's farmhouse saisons, hazy IPAs, and pale ales in three sizes (330ml from ¥1,000, 475ml from ¥1,300, 250ml for strong beers). Large fridge by the door stocks cans to take home—not for drinking in. Snacks only, vegetarian options, no flight, no happy hour, no cash accepted. Menus bilingual.
