A ground-floor room in Ryogoku's sumo-district backstreets, seating twenty under plain izakaya lighting. The draw is the fridge: roughly sixty Asian beers, from Beerlao Dark and Qingdao stout to Taiwan's SUNMAI, India's Bira91, Turkey's Efes and Nepali lagers, most between 690 and 990 yen. Owner-run, non-smoking, open till 1am, shut Sundays. The move: skip the reflexive Asahi and run a regional flight, or take the roughly 4,500-yen all-you-can-drink course and work the map. Expect a 330-yen otoshi and a 10 percent surcharge after 22:00. Come for the beer; the fish-leaning kitchen holds up.
