A local terroir-driven lager project using home-grown sake rice 'Sankei Nishiki' and home-grown spelt wheat, hopped with European aroma hops and home-grown Cascade. Compared to an all-malt pilsner, it shows a gentle rice-derived sweetness alongside a drier, sharper character, with clean and crisp malt flavor from using the whitest, innermost part of the rice grain. Noble hop-derived herbal notes blend with fresh fruitiness for a well-balanced, highly drinkable lager that pairs naturally with Japanese cuisine.
