A Black IPA brewed using the cold steep method — Black Malt and Chocolate Malt are cold-extracted separately to achieve a deep dark color while minimizing harsh roast astringency, leaving only a subtle bitter chocolate nuance. Hopped with Columbus, Simcoe, and Krush for notes of resin, pine, stone fruit, and bright citrus. The finish is dry and light with a lingering roast character, inspired by a night walk through the forests of Kamifurano.
