Shibadaimon brewpub opened March 6, 2023 in a two-story conversion five minutes from Hamamatsucho south exit—brewery on the ground floor, neon-lit bar upstairs, 26 seats with a 21-seat counter. Founder Hiro runs a parallel brewery in Kudamatsu, Yamaguchi—his hometown—where the volume tanks live; Tokyo handles small-batch experiments. The aesthetic is Shinjuku Ni-chome night culture poured into beer: glassware and 12 different coaster designs by illustrator Teruhiko Yumura (Hiro's old design-studio boss). 20 taps—15 house, 5 guest—skewing hard toward IPA in every register including their signature Rice IPA (West Coast, Hazy, Sour, Cold variants always rotating). Tokyo head brewer Soon transferred in from cosmetics. Cans available to take away. Cashless. Closed Sundays.
